The African Agribusiness Alliance (AAA) has filled two new strategic positions to strengthen its management. A Deputy Managing Director and a Business Development Director has joined the management of the Alliance. They are Mr. Boubacar Sow who is joining as the Deputy Managing Director and Mr. Karim Guiro who will serve as the Business Development Director.

Mr. Sow, the new Deputy Managing Director,will assist the Board and Management in the implementation of the Alliance’s strategic and business plans, developing international partnerships, resource mobilization and programme management. He was until 30thSeptember 2017 the Country Director for Senegal with the International Relief and Development (IRD) where he was involved in developing agribusiness and agricultural value chains in West Africa. He has extensive experience in project management, design, monitoring and evaluation which he brings to the Alliance to strengthen its operations and international networking.
Mr. Karim Guiro.
Mr. Guiro is coming to the Alliance as the Business Development Director, responsible for managing all aspects of technical assistance, business development, funding, project proposals and programme management. He is a development practitioner with experiences in developing business plans, financing models, project management with USAID, Chemonics International and the International Relief and Development. He has over 10 years’ experience in local economic development, capacity building, enterprise support services and private sector development.
The coming on board of these two experienced professionals will further enhance the growing profile of the Alliance among agribusiness stakeholders and partners in Africa and globally.
