Madame Taraf was a former President of the African Cashew Alliance from 2012 to 2016 where she led the Executive Committee to implement strategic plans that contributed to growing the membership of the Alliance to about 130 member companies in 30 countries representing all aspects of cashew value chain including producers, processors, traders and international buyers. She hails from Benin, where she first entered the cashew sector as a buyer in 1996. She began her first export operations as head of AGRO-PHEN, which become NAD & Co in 2008. Her involvement with ACA began in 2010, when she was elected head of the Benin National Committee. She brings her understanding of the agribusiness value chain to Board deliberations and policies that will enhance the development of the industry in Africa.
